Congress Boustany Visits AMPOL Facility
Congressman Charles W. Boustany Jr., M.D., representing Louisiana's 7th District, recently visited AMPOL's New Iberia headquarters to tour the facility and meet the AMPOL team.
The congressman and his assistant Joan Finley were given a tour of AMPOL's headquarters at 401 West Admiral Doyle by President Kirk Headley, including the new command center, boom shop, response equipment showroom, operations room and maintenance facilities.
Headley and Boustany met to discuss opportunities for private business and government to work together to help grow Louisiana companies and increase jobs.
"When private industry and government have common goals, it benefits local companies, industries and Louisiana residents," Headley said. "AMPOL was honored to have Congressman Boustany visit our office and advise and listen to our team."
AMPOL currently employs nearly 200 full-time employees and is a leading manufacturer of spill response equipment and products. |
