AMPOL Completes Spill Containment Utah

AMPOL Completes Spill Containment in Utah

American Pollution Control Corp. (AMPOL), a leading oil spill response and total environmental solutions provider, has completed a spill containment project in Helper, Utah, announced CEO Kirk Headley.

Enviro Care, a North Salt Lake hazardous materials control and mitigation firm, requested AMPOL's assistance in the containment, remediation and disposal of black wax crude oil which was released as the result of a vehicle accident. <<READ MORE>>


Business Marketing Association Honors AMPOL

AMPOL StoryBMA AwardAMPOL was recently recognized by the Business Marketing Association at the annual Lantern Awards of Texas gala.

AMPOL won an award of excellence for its hard-bound, full-color book that describes how AMPOL has grown to where it is today.

AMPOL President Kirk Headley accepted the award at the gala with Foster Marketing President Tiffany Harris and CEO George Foster.

The BMA Houston Chapter created the Lantern Awards of Texas more than two decades ago to highlight top-quality creative and strategic business-to-business communications.


Headley Attends National Entrepreneur Awards Event

As an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Gulf Coast Area winner, AMPOL President Kirk Headley attended the national awards event Nov. 12 in Palm Springs, Calif.Kirk Headley

Headley was selected as a Gulf Coast Area winner earlier this year by an independent judging panel made up of previous winners of the award, leading CEOs, private capital investors and other regional business leaders.

The gala is the culminating event of the Ernst & Young Strategic Growth Forum, the nation's most prestigious gathering of high-growth, market-leading companies. Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year is the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.


Boustany Visit

Congress Boustany Visits AMPOL Facility

Congressman Charles W. Boustany Jr., M.D., representing Louisiana's 7th District, recently visited AMPOL's New Iberia headquarters to tour the facility and meet the AMPOL team.

The congressman and his assistant Joan Finley were given a tour of AMPOL's headquarters at 401 West Admiral Doyle by President Kirk Headley, including the new command center, boom shop, response equipment showroom, operations room and maintenance facilities.

Headley and Boustany met to discuss opportunities for private business and government to work together to help grow Louisiana companies and increase jobs.

"When private industry and government have common goals, it benefits local companies, industries and Louisiana residents," Headley said. "AMPOL was honored to have Congressman Boustany visit our office and advise and listen to our team."

AMPOL currently employs nearly 200 full-time employees and is a leading manufacturer of spill response equipment and products.
