ALFRED "AL" BAKER JOINS AMPOL TEAM
American Pollution Control Corp. (AMPOL), the world's leading oil spill response and total environmental solutions provider, has hired Alfred Baker to manage its Industrial Services Division, announced CEO Kirk Headley.
Baker has more than 17 years of hands-on experience in industrial, environmental and spill response service. As Industrial Services Manager, Baker will expand the division, which offers tank cleaning, hydro-blasting, vacuuming and general plant maintenance services, as well as directing project management, estimating, technical writing, safety and training for the group.
"Having been involved in major incidents along the Gulf Coast for the past 17 years, Al has the knowledge and experience to work with clients, government agencies and regulatory bodies in a crisis situation," said Headley. "He has the field credentials to analyze a project and make the right decisions to keep a project advancing in a safe and efficient manner."
Baker previously worked in technical sales and operations positions. He is trained as a Qualified Individual/Incident Commander, General Site Worker Supervisor, Alcohol Field Test/Screening Test Technician and Radiation Safety Officer and has attended OSHA and OSHA refresher courses, Confined Space/CPR, QC Management, Risk Management, Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), On-Tract Safety and Leadership training.
As a total environmental solutions provider, AMPOL focuses on restoration, going beyond response and cleanup.
