AMPOL Hires New Industrial Services / Ops Manager!

American Pollution Control, Corp. (AMPOL) would like to introduce the addition of Mr. David Diamond to its ranks. AMPOL since its inception in 1993 has continually grown, adding services and staff that offer value and synergy services to its customers.

Mr. Diamond will manage the Industrial Services Group that includes tank cleaning, hydro-blasting, vacuum services and general plant maintenance services along with oversight of the emergency response and oil spill response groups.

The expanded role of industrial services will be added to our Emergency Response, Abatement (lead, mold and asbestos) NORM Remediation, Confined Space Entry and Vessel Cleaning, Industrial Insulation Design and Installation, Demolition, Hazardous and Biological Waste Remediation, Offshore Supply Vessels and Spill Containment Products.

Mr. Diamond brings 24 years of practical experience in the industrial, environmental and spill response service industries. Over the years, he has worked his way up through the ranks from technician to operations foreman and supervisor through to project manager and Sr. Project estimator.

Mr. Diamond has cleaned hundreds of tanks with many above 350 foot diameter using all types of existing technologies such as robotics, man way cannons as well as confined space crews.

Mr. Diamond also has a multitude of experience with hazardous releases and oil spills working on such projects as the IMC Sterlington explosion in 1991 as project manager for plant cleanup.

He was also involved in the largest Arsenic Triazicide recovery in US history utilizing remote operated vehicles to recover the hazardous material off Cape May, New Jersey.

 

His training includes,

OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training and annual refreshers
Safe Tank Entry Training and Certification
CPR/First Aid Training
Screening Test Technician/Alcohol Field Test
General Site Worker Supervisor Training
Radiation Safety Officer Training
On-Track Safety Training
OSHA On-Scene Commander
Qualified Individual / Incident Commander
PEC Instructor Course

Mr. Diamond has the field credentials to analyze a project scope and make sound and decisive decisions to keep the project advancing in a safe and efficient manner. Mr. Diamond having been involved with most major incidents along the Gulf Coast over the last twenty four years lends him the ability to operate fluidly with Customers and Government agencies including the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Environmental Protection Agency (U.S.E.P.A.), United States Coast Guard (USCG) and State Police.
